Limon y Sal is a popular destination in downtown Ventura, California. Their Mexican food is some of the finest around. They have a very nice restaurant and they wanted to keep it looking that way. They were concerned about the possibility of vandalism defacing their exterior windows and they wanted to combat graffiti on their facility. In the event that the windows were tagged or vandalized, they wanted a way to quickly resolve the issue. If something was used to deeply scratch or etch the glass, it may take time to get panel replaced. They were looking for options.
When they contacted Elite Window Tinting we introduced them to a product that was designed for exactly this purpose. It is a completely clear anti-graffiti film. This film is applied to the exterior surface of the window and is designed to act as a sacrificial layer between the vandalism and the underlying glass. If someone attempted to vandalize the glass or add graffiti the film would protect the glass from being damaged. Because the film is clear, it is nearly undetectable. The vandals think they have successfully accomplished their goal. However, the film can be easily removed and replaced with a new layer revealing a pristine panel of glass underneath. Check out these pictures we captured during the installation.
This solution works as it enables the building owner to quickly remove the graffiti and restore the desired look. Graffiti and vandalism have a habit of multiplying if not addressed quickly. That is what makes graffiti mitigation film so attractive. You can remove the eyesore and re-install new protection before it has a chance to spread. The time you would have to wait for a new piece of glass to be installed could be much longer and definitely more costly.
